Cris
Cris is the most widely used RIS in the UK. All departmental workflows are covered from patient check-in through Order Comms to GP and patient feedback. Cris is fully scalable, from single imaging departments to consortia and national installations.
-
Cris integrates with all major PAS, PACS and EPR solutions.
-
Cris meets all relevant clinical and corporate standards including RCR guidelines for reporting, peer review, and image sharing.
-
The architecture is 'secure by design' and is backed up by industry standard cyber security including IG and ISO certification.
Order Comms
Cris integration with Order Comms (electronic orders) enables the transition from paper requests to electronic ordering, to facilitate a full paperless workflow.
Vetting
Since the introduction of IR(ME)R regulations, all requests for radiological procedures must be vetted by a clinician to confirm that the procedure is clinically justified. Core Cris enables requests to be marked as justified and the optional Vetting module facilitates full vetting using customised protocols. Cris presents the vetting clinician with context-specific protocols based on examination, body area, and modality.
Appointments
The Cris Appointments module is used to manage waiting lists, and planned waiting lists, ahead of undertaking the scheduling of appointments. Cris can accommodate the use of either a full booking system (making appointments to send to patients by post, SMS, or email) or a partial / direct booking system (making appointments direct with patients by telephone).
The Cris Diary provides administrative staff with the intuitive tools required to conduct fast and efficient booking. This uses drag and drop functionality for bookings across multiple rooms and sites. It supports diagnostic waiting times, clock start / stops, and displays breach dates. The module is highly configurable to accommodate complex rules to control booking of slots, for example, inpatients and paediatrics.
Post Processing
The Cris Post Processing module is designed for use by Radiographers, Sonographers, and Radiographic Assistants to facilitate recording examination details for IRMER purposes. In most cases the action of post processing / signing-off an event sends a message to PACS that the examination is complete, which releases the images for viewing / reporting and also removes the event from the modality worklist.
Reporting
Reporting in Cris completes the workflow from order to report quickly and seamlessly. We can also integrate with third-party reporting software.
Voice Recognition
Cris can be integrated with both Dragon and Augnito voice recognition software for reporting clinicians.
Communicator
Communicator enables hospitals to improve patient safety by speeding up communication between radiology and other departments, including primary care providers. Communicator enables rapid communication with referrers to ensure patients with critical findings are seen more quickly. An audit trail of messages sent and acknowledgements received is provided.
Medical Photography
Cris Medical Photography Soft Form can be used to save photographs, videos, and illustrations to document clinical conditions and pre- and post-operative changes, to aid with surgery planning.
Obstetrics
Cris Obstetrics module provides sonographers with the charts needed to produce reports for obstetric examinations, as specified by the North West Obstetric Clinical Reference Group (CRG).
Nuclear Medicine
The Cris Nuclear Medicine module allows you to record the creation of vials and administrations; the allocation of administrations; and post processing information.
Portering
The Cris Portering module can be used by porters, portering coordinators, and radiology staff to arrange and monitor the transfer of patients to and from the radiology department.
Sessions
Cris Sessions can be used to create reporting worklists tailored to individual requirements. Sessions can also be used to save lists of patient events for teaching, reference, QA, or MDT meetings. You can include the patient events to be discussed, attendees, and pre and post meeting actions to be taken for each of the events.
Billing
The Cris Billing module allows hospitals to create and manage Private Patient Billing and Insurance Cost Plans. This includes all billing and invoicing requirements for the patient and the Insurance Provider.
